You might be wondering—how can Sparkle Pearl Cotton, with its beautiful metallic twist, be priced at just $5.50?The answer is simple: it’s a machine-dyed thread—and machine-dyed threads should never cost as much as hand-dyed ones.
While the metallic element does add quite a bit to the production cost, the overall dyeing process is highly automated, making it far less labor-intensive than hand-dyed threads. Some companies inflate their prices on machine-dyed threads, charging the same as they would for hand-dyed options.
