My pattern also includes a link to Lori Brechlin's YouTube video that explains how you can even punch on 100% cotton in order to achieve backgrounds in different colors and patterns, as opposed to plain white or off-white weavers cloth. No more punching backgrounds if you don't want to! You can now achieve the same background look in punch needle that I show in my embroidery sample in the photo.

My pattern is easy to follow. It has a list of the suggested materials to be used and also has simple, basic instructions. The finished project is approximately 7 1/2" x 6 1/4" for embroidery and approximately 8 3/4" x 7 1/4"" for punch needle.
